Contract

Where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Legitimate Interests

Where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.

Where processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject.

Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Right of Access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide this information free of charge within one month of receiving your request.

Right to Rectification

You have the right to request correction of any inaccurate personal data we hold about you. We will respond to your request within one month.

Right to Erasure

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing. This right is not absolute and may be subject to legal obligations.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, such as when you contest the accuracy of the data.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit that data to another controller.

Right to Object

You have the right to object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on legitimate interests as the legal basis for processing.

Rights Related to Automated Decision Making

You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of your rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within one month. If your request is complex or you have made multiple requests, we may extend this period by a further two months, but we will inform you of any extension within one month of receiving your request.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. The retention period depends on the context and our legal obligations:

  • Enquiry data: 2 years from last contact
  • Client records: 7 years from end of coaching relationship
  • Financial records: As required by Singapore tax law

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Regular security assessments
  • Staff training on data protection

International Transfers

If we transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or transfers to countries with an adequate level of protection.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will also notify you directly.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the EU, you can contact your local data protection authority. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you approach a supervisory authority, so please contact us first.
